Build your own Savage Rifle!

Build your own Savage Rifle!

Brad and Matt from NIOA TV set off on an adventure of a lifetime as they take a tour of Savage Arms and the historic Leupold & Stevens factory. During their tour, they had the privilege to be able to create their own rifles and accessories from scratch! Wait till the end of the video to see who’s rifle can shoot the furthest and who the better shot is.

Building the gun at Savage Factory

At the Savage Arms factory, Brad wanted to build an Impulse Mountain Hunter while Matt wanted to create a Savage 110 Ultra light in Camo. As they timed the process of build and assembly, we are able to see the care and effort that is put into each gun produced by the historic family-run arms manufacturer.

First shooting test

After creating their guns, Brad and Matt were taken to a private shooting range to test out their creations with in-house Loophole VX-5HD’s as accessories. After testing their guns out at a 175 yard range, they were able to determine 3 things:

  1. Their guns have been built properly and are effective long distance hunting guns.
  2. Brad is the better shot than Matt.
  3. The Loophole VX-5HD’s unique and sleek designs were essential to their success.

Scope building at Leupold and Steven Inc.

This brought them to the idea that they should visit the Loophole factory and build their own! Their adventure took them all the way to Oregeon to visit Leupold and Steven Inc. Through their tour, we are able to see the family values these corporations utilise during their production process, ensuring each product is battle ready. Taking us through the assembly line allows for us to see the high quality material and care that goes into the making of these firearms and scopes, ensuring a lifetime guarantee.

Final Test

After their scopes were made, Brad and Matt set out to do a final test of their products at the Madras gun range, easily over 1000 yards long. Both Matt and Brad were able to reach the 1000 yard, though it was a much smoother journey for Brad. After a sudden death match of shooting at the furthest target, Brad was declared the better shot with the better gun.
