What is the Leupold Custom Dial System (CDS)? Is it just a generic bullet drop compensator that you find on most rifle scopes on the market?
Absolutely not. Leupold scopes come with a Custom Dial System (CDS) in 30mm or 34mm tubes and are ideal for both hunting and longe range shooting. They are designed to help you easily compensate for bullet drop and make ultra-quick adjustments on the fly. Plus the customising of your scope is absolutely free.
No more shots off target, no more messing around. Get your scope’s elevation dial to match your exact load, muzzle velocity, and environmental conditions for unprecedented precision by just filling out a form and Leupold will laser-etch a custom dial for your scope.
How do you get a customised Leupold scope with CDS?
It’s that simple.
If you’re shooting PRS at 600 or 700 yards just pull the trigger. If your CDS is for a hunting scope you can rest assured that it will give you the confidence to shoot further than you would normally with an average scope or a scope with a BDC.
Simply dial and delete your targets, as Viking Field Team’s Chris Abbot would say!
Once you have the custom dial, you can use it to make adjustments to the elevation of the scope. This will compensate for bullet drop, which is the amount that the bullet will fall due to gravity over a given distance.
Why choose a Leupold scope with CDS?
If you are looking for a way to improve your accuracy at long ranges, then CDS is a great option. It is a feature that is well worth the investment.
