How to Mount Your Leupold Scope

It’s important to mount your scope safely to your rifle for the best shooting experience, and today we are looking at how to mount your Leupold scope to any rifle hassle free.

The first thing to do is get a scope mount and ring kit from Leupold which will include everything you will need to quickly mount your scope. Leupold are one of the most prolific manufacturers of mounts and will fit to any rifle brand.

So the first step is to remove the barrel, as well as any ancillary pieces to make the rifle easier to work with. Then place the rifle on a stable mount. If you find you are regularly changing scopes and mounting new scopes to rifles, then take a look at the MTM stand will give you all the support you need. Alternatively, your bipod will be enough to support the rifle.

Take the base of both QRW and place them onto the rail at either end. Tighten them gently into place before then placing your scope onto the rings. Make sure to align the scope to where you want it to be and then hook on the top half of the ring to hold the scope in place. Gently tighten the screws to secure the ring, making sure not to overtighten. You’re aiming for somewhere in the region of 25 newton meters. This will allow you to make adjustments to where the scope is sitting.

That’s it, in the space of just a few minutes you have successfully fitted a new Leupold scope to your rifle and are reading for some shooting.
