Savage Savage’s B Precision series is built to ensure maximum shootability and handling with Savage’s rimfire bolt-action. This allows this series of rifles to take full advantage of rimfire rounds. Pete takes us through the sleek and precise design of the B series Precision Lite 17HMR calibre, showcasing the effective design of this series by Savage. Within this video, Pete points out the many features that are included in this state-of-the-art hunting rifle including:
Within the video, Pete picked 4 different rounds of ammunition to test the amazing rifle out with. Remington’s premier Magnum rimfire, Hornady 17 HMR, Winchester’s 15.5 grain non led and Winchester’s Jacketed Hollow Point 20 grain. This allows for both Pete, and us as an audience, to be able to see the amazing rimfire rifle in action. After the testing, Pete was able to determine that Remington’s and Hornaday’s bullets worked best with this gun as they lost the least amount of energy during the trial. Moreover, he noticed that the gun required a deep clean regularly to ensure it was shooting the way it was supposed to, underscoring the importance of gun safety and maintenance for all.
The B Series Precision Lite versions are also available in carbon fibre wrap for optimum balance and heat dissipation. The carbon fibre heavy barrel profile and aluminium stock allow for a perfectly centre-balanced rimfire rifle. This does increase the price of the rifle, but with good reason!
