YouTuber Roger Barrera is giving us kit envy with his beautifully outfitted Henry Big Boy X Model Lever Action. Check out all the attachments he’s chosen and why.
Roger Barrera’s gun room and hold-up display wall is the stuff of dreams. Lucky for us, he runs ‘Quick, Violent, Over’ (QVO) a YouTube channel featuring detailed looks and demos of the best of the best in his collection.
In the video shared below, he gives us an explainer and 360° look at his Henry Big Boy X Model Lever Action rifle chambered in .357. As he puts it:
“Without further ado, let’s get to checking something out, one of the ones that I know is a favourite not just of mine but of everybody else on the channel or that checks out the channel is gonna be this Henry Lever Action in .357, so let me get this down and we’ll take a look…”
It’s got a large open lever from Henry, matching buttstock, quiver, top rail, and hand guard from Ranger Point Precision, and SLX Prism from Primary Arms on a QD mount from American Defense Manufacturing. A neat moment is when he shows what it’s like to look through the SLX Prism and see the green dot do its thing.

“I know lever action is kind of making a comeback,” says Roger in the QVO vid. “This one is very easy to do combat loads and load into the open action… I’ve enjoyed taking it out to the range, we’ve done a lot of fun stuff with it.”
One reason he loves it? “It’s one of my favourites to shoot…There’s just something so satisfying about cycling the action on a lever action. Just makes you appreciate each round fired more in my opinion.”
