Watch: Testing out the new B17 Precision Lite

The brilliant Broadsword Ballistics takes a deep dive into the Savage Arms Company`s new B-17 Precision Lite, which they describe as a Lite Mini Tactical.

As the always impartial reviewer, Broadsword Ballistics goes into detail about the unique features of one of the latest products from the historic arms manufacturer. If that was not enough, they showcase the powerful rifle in all its glory, on the gun range. Take a look at the video below to see the major features of this amazing product, and wait till the end to see how well this product performs at the gun range.

The video starts off with a little introduction to the product. B17 Precision Lite is part of Savage arms’ B Precision series of rifles, built to ensure maximum shootability and handling with Savage’s rimfire bolt-action. This gun in particular has been designed for a variety of competition shooting such as long range and rimfire shooting. However, that is not it's only use as it can easily be used for hunting. This lovely lightweight gun comes in three different calibres - 22 Long range Rimfire, 22 Winchester Magnum or 17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire, the latter of which is featured heavily in the video.

Its overall size is 36 ½ inches, weighing a total of 6.75 pounds. This line of products is able to be so light is due to the carbon fibre used to make this product. The product also comes with a steel barrel option if that is more suited for your style of shooting. Its barrel length is 18 inches, which is ideal for this type of compact rifle. The B17 Precision Lite comes with a easily replaceable 10 round detachable magazine along with a semi-tactical stock and a Custom 1 Piece MDT Chassis machined from billet aluminium, providing massive freeflow. Moreover, it has a QD sling stud, allowing you to mount it. The barrel is 1.75 inches wide, allowing for a lot of airspace. The trigger is made of polymer, with enough space for freeflow. Moreover, the handle is covered in grooved rubber, allowing for greater grip control.

For the test at the gun range, Broadsword Ballistics decided to take advantage of the diversity of product and see the different types of ammunition that could work with this gun! One of the things noticed was the AccuTrigger, which is luckily adjustable, allowing for you to choose your comfort level.  Watch till the end of the video to see which ammunition they felt worked the best for them!
